Website maintenance is the ongoing work of keeping a website secure, updated, and performing well after it launches. It covers CMS, plugin and theme updates, security patching, malware scanning, backups, uptime monitoring, speed checks, and content changes — done on a regular schedule rather than only when something breaks.
Every plan covers scheduled updates, security hardening, malware scanning and cleanup, uptime monitoring, backups, performance checks, and content updates, plus email and chat support. E-commerce plans add product and inventory updates, checkout monitoring, and priority phone support. Plans are customisable, so you can add or remove tasks to fit your site.
Updates and security checks run monthly as standard, with uptime monitoring running continuously in between. Critical security patches are applied as soon as they’re released rather than waiting for the next cycle. Higher-traffic and e-commerce sites can be moved to a more frequent schedule.
We’re alerted by our uptime and security monitoring, usually before you notice. We restore from the most recent clean backup, remove the malware, close the vulnerability that allowed it in, and then tell you what happened and what changed. Malware cleanup is included in every maintenance plan.

Yes. Most sites we look after were built elsewhere. We start with a full audit of the platform, plugins, security, and speed, fix anything urgent, then move the site onto a regular maintenance cycle. You don’t need to rebuild with us first.
Wazile maintains websites on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Drupal, Joomla, Squarespace, Wix, and a range of custom and SaaS platforms. If your site runs on something else, send us the details and we’ll confirm whether we can support it before you commit to anything.
